Top 4 Strategies To Conquer Your Morning

Posted by: Kevin Martin on Comments Off on Top 4 Strategies To Conquer Your Morning

Our upcoming workshop “Strategies To Drive Change” is on August 29th @ 6pm.   Enroll Here.  One of the things we will discuss is how to take advantage of the most important part of your day: the start! Balance out your adrenal system with your morning routine.

Here are our Top 4 Strategies To Conquer Your Morning!

  1. Hydrate. Water (with lemon perhaps).  The biggest lemon water benefit may be from the temperature of the water and not even the added lemon. Drinking any water, or especially warm water, first thing in the morning can help flush the digestive system and re-hydrate the body.
  2. A morning walk. When we actually do our walking first thing in the day and finish it while the day is still young, we feel encouraged by a sense of achievement.
  3. Meditation. Meditation activates your parasympathetic nervous system, which triggers a deep state of relaxation during the practice. So even though you may wake up from sleep still tired, after meditating for 20 minutes, you’ll get energy-boosting endorphins that’ll help you spring to life without having to rely solely on caffeine.
  4. Foods and drink that fuels you.  Our breakfast choice is the actual fuel that can power us through the whole day. Getting enough protein will help to balance out our blood sugar and have the brain and body energy to make good choices and feel the best we can. A few examples of a protein filled breakfast: Eggs any way with veggies and whole grain toast. Greek yogurt with fruit and chia seeds mixed in. Savory oats with cheese and sausage.

Plan out the rest of your day and move forward. Now that you have morning routine of a warrior…make a list of the important things that you’d like to get done and move forward!

Original Strength workshop

Hello!  We’re Original Strength and we’re coming to Asheville, NC on April 8th with our OS Pressing RESET Workshop!

As the foundation for all other strength training, movement systems, human development, physical restoration and overall life improvement systems, OS gives health and fitness professionals all the tools necessary to help their clients and patients achieve the best possible outcome.

OS allows professionals ways to quickly screen and assess (OSSA) where a client is currently and provides a pathway for moving the patient from where they are (good) to better to best.  This good, better, best method provides professionals with a great deal of information which can be used to tailor programs specific to the patient’s current abilities.

At Original Strength, we believe applying our three key principles through the OS Big 5 Resets sets a person up to Press RESET on their systems.  Similar to a computer or mobile phone, when it locks up or stops functioning normally, we reboot it or Press RESET allowing it to go back to its original state and again function as it should.  Some people see changes in a very short time, others may see changes over a longer time period, but everyone experiences changes if Pressing RESET regularly and consistently, even for just a few minutes a day.

The OS system will help anyone, regardless of age, physical or mental abilities to breathe, move, and live better.  We are here to help you or help you help others to Press RESET.

“Tapping into our reflexive strength with the Original Strength program, is one of the few programs that our team at Johns Hopkins has found meets the foundational needs of virtually every single patient population we see.  Our patient populations consist of medically complex patients with cancer, musculoskeletal, neuro, amputees, or transplant and from professional athletes to that active aging.  It is simple to integrate and we are systematically training all of our outpatient providers and support staff including students, rehab techs, residents, and therapists.” – Ken Johnson, Director of Outpatient Physical Therapy, Johns Hopkins

We believe our system of Pressing RESET will assist you in providing greater mobility through movement for your physical therapy patients.  Below are links to our website and to the registration page for the April 8 Workshop for more information.  If you have any questions about how Pressing RESET will work for you and your clients, please feel free to contact us.
